Frequency Domain present their fifth release (fd005), a split cassette of lush synthesiser explorations and mood-altering electronic landscapes by Matt Whitehead and Myoptik.
Side A showcases a rarely-heard side of Whitehead’s music, more often known for his dizzying acid and electro jams on labels such as Super Rhythm Trax and Rebel Intelligence — six gorgeous, slow-burning synthesiser pieces, rich in rainy, retrofuturistic atmosphere.
On the flip, Myoptik’s two extended tracks lash fractured, disorienting melodies around sidewinding rhythms, creating music that plays like a transmission from an emerging cybernetic consciousness.

Very very special record.
It has everything: sophisticated acid, very unique sounds, radiating quality.
The spirit of detroit techno echoing inside and what a beautiful, beautiful cover art, I'm very happy to have this on vinyl. As for the individual tracks, literally every single one of them is perfect. I can't notice any lack of attention, love or passion within any of them, which is the way it should be. Thus, there's no favorite track, all of them are superb.
