"Maze Greys was recorded in a week at home this summer. I'd been listening to a lot of the more abstract footwork, recently coming out of Japan and had wanted to try some drum programming at 160 bpm. The energy in the music took over though, and I found myself making something else, tracks stripped back to their elements and at half the tempo.

This is probably the gentlest, and amongst the least cluttered records I've yet made. In the end I just wanted to let the chords revolve and glow and shine, and let the melodies flow and settle and dissolve over the top.

It feels good that it has found a home with old friends at Frequency Domain.”
